The most important thing to remember is: know the consequences of everything that you do and after that, know how to prevent bad things from happening as much as you can, with the information you have. It's the same with HIV: if you're sexually active, be well aware that an HIV infection can be one of the consequences of your actions. So use a condom and educate yourself!
It's been almost a month since I have 2 cats. Having them to take care of taught me more about responsibilities. I have to feed them, play with them, clean their cages as well as their dung, bathe them, etc to keep them clean, healthy and happy. Even though my family members are happy to have them here, lately they've been worrying about toxoplasmosis infection. Toxoplasmosis is well known to live in cats, so my aunties keep nagging me about how dangerous it is having them in the house.
I know that toxoplasmosis could make women unable to have children. I did a little research and it turned out that we can get infected with toxoplasmosis through cat's dung and actually our immune system would be enough to keep us from getting infected, so all we have to do is keep clean (always wash your hands afterwards). So now my aunties can worry less, because I always do what I have to do to prevent toxoplasmosis infection.
