A female teenager from Banyuwangi, Afi Nihaya Faradisa, accomplished praise and also critics on social media with ther heartfelt plea for tolerance and diversity in Indonesia.
I'm getting older -and wiser, hopefully... I sometimes think about the good times I've spent while I was a teenager. A girl full of laughs, spirit and freedom, how lovely is that?
I always think that my English is not that good but not bad either. Last Sunday I met an English teacher and he told me that my English is good. And for me, it was truly a compliment! Even though he was being a grammar police during our conversation, he asked me how did I learn English. Let me tell you how I learnt English. Back then… I didn't know the importance of English language, but my parents always forced me to take English course even though they can't speak English at all themselves. So because I like being a good daughter, I obeyed them.
