Last Saturday, I did muaythai with some of my friends. Our instructor had been sick for the past 4 weeks, so it was his first day back in the gym. As we worked out, we asked him a few questions about his illness. He got typhus and had to take blood samples, then he said that based on his blood test, he was HIV positive.
Me and Dita were so shocked and told him calmly about what he had to do. Seeing how serious we were made him admit that he was only joking. He convinced us that he is clean from HIV. Well... he's sexually active and it made us remind him about how dangerous the HIV virus is. I guess he got fed up by us for the rest of the work-out session because we kept telling him to take a HIV test periodically and never forget to use condoms when having sex, hahahahaha!
Enter our territory and follow the days of the lives of the protagonists of our project. On this page they will tell you everything about their work with Bali Against Aids. This blog will be their online diary: an opportunity for them to share their experiences and to give you a sneak peak into their life.
Enjoy the ride!
