Today I went to the hospital to visit my friend's granny, a lovely old lady that I know. She often went to the hospital for check-up and therapy, but today she needs to stay the night; that's why I came to say hello and to wish her well.
There were some relatives already there when I arrived, because that's what we need when we're sick, isn't it? Support from the family. It occurs to me that no matter how sick you are, all you need is home: a feeling that you’re comfortable with. That goes for people with HIV/AIDS as well, all they need is support, caring and loving. The fact is that stigma and discrimination still arise around this issue, so let's stop that and support them instead. It’s an infectious disease like any other, after all.
Enter our territory and follow the days of the lives of the protagonists of our project. On this page they will tell you everything about their work with Bali Against Aids. This blog will be their online diary: an opportunity for them to share their experiences and to give you a sneak peak into their life.
Enjoy the ride!
