As I read books from various genres and countries, I became more open and tolerant as well. Because we live in a world full of people with different perspectives, lifestyles, race, languages… and I’m aware of it. What I’m trying to say is that a person’s different from another, but we’re all the same in God’s eye, so why do we still treat some people differently? For instance, regarding the stigma around people with HIV, I think we should be more open and treat people equally because we’re the same after all. We are all one.
Tell me, how would you learn and gain knowledge apart from at school? Experience? Of course, but what else can you do? It differs from one person to another; you may say that the internet helps you, for me it’s books and people. I love reading, especially novels, from adventurous to romantic and I adore comics as well, especially Japanese ones. It never occurs to me that I will learn something from novels or comics, because I’m not a heavy book reader, but it just so happens that I know things from books, small things like discovering a city, lessons about life, relationships and family… Books helped me to become who I am today, I know it sounds cheesy but that’s the truth.
