I had a work meeting with some people. It was a normal meeting where we talked about job evaluations, plannning and more things like that. When the meeting was over, we had a casual chat and one of my co-workers was talking about how he doesn't care about people liking him or not. According to him, the most improtant relation that he has to maintain is a good relationship with God. Another co-worker of mine disagreed and said that "Having a good relationship with God is important, very important as He is our creator. But it doesn't mean that you don't need a good relationship with people. In this life, both of these relationships must be balanced because we still need other people in our life."
This might be a simple thing, but somehow it reminded me about how my relationships are now with the people close to me. It's not that I don't have a good relationship with people, but I'm not maintaining them in a good way, for example with my parents and my cats. And it makes me determined to have more quality time with them and to appreciate their existence in my life
