We turned 23 last Saturday and even though we’re sad of growing older, we’re more than grateful to spend our birthday together with our loved ones. As we getting older, we don’t count how many friends congratulate us on our special day, how many gifts we got and other not so important yet important things anymore; what we want is to share our happiness to those who need it, to make someone else’s day happy, because we believe that kindness makes the world go round. There are so many little things we can treasure and be thankful for, like the fact that we live for today and can be grateful for what we have. My mother always says: “Live your life, but do not look up, look down instead.” Because we’re all humans who are never satisfied. That’s why our birthday this year is different than any other birthday we had before, as we shared our happiness with orphaned children. That’s the most precious gift that we had this year: to see those happy faces! We feel very blessed.
