We think that this initiative is a good idea, as everybody has the right to have a happy and healthy marriage - without HIV of course!
In 2015, August is assessed as a good month for a wedding in Indonesia. With so many wedding receptions being held this month (and throughout the year as well) and the rising of new HIV virus infections, the government of Bogor is making a new policy: the brides and grooms in Bogor City will be required to take a HIV test before getting married. The policy was initiated to suppress the addition of HIV/AIDS cases in the city.
Cumulative data from 2005 to November 2014 noted that there are now 58 children who are HIV positive. While from January to November 2014 as many as 41 out of 5,039 pregnant women in the city of Bogor tested positive for HIV.
