The Global Fund has issued its ‘2015 Result Report’ earlier this week.
Maybe some of you don't know what the Global Fund is, so let me introduce them to you...
The Global Fund is a partnership organization designed to accelerate the end of 3 diseases: AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. The Global Fund is a financing institution, providing support to countries in the response to these 3 diseases. Even though they don’t implement programs on the ground themselves, their partnership program strives for maximum impact.
In Asia the Global Fund invests in 8 countries with a high impact towards these diseases, including Indonesia and Thailand.
The great news is that there's a more than 50% decline in HIV incidence and AIDS deaths in Thailand since 2002. But the sad news is, that there's no decline -only increasing numbers of HIV incidence and AIDS deaths- in Indonesia!
I can't believe it, this so heartbreaking. We have to stop HIV/AIDS, but how? Start with yourself! Know your HIV status, get more information about HIV/AIDS -you can find all you need on our website, Facebook page and Twitter- and share, share, share!
