We are aiming to give young people in Indonesia and elsewhere the right knowledge about HIV/AIDS, about safe sex education which of course could make a huge difference to prevent an HIV infection from happening. Asia Against AIDS might still need a lot of progress but we're glad that we have the right people on board: our glamourous Ambassadors who are concerned about this issues just as much as we are.
"I want to create awareness for the younger generation, especially to be more careful. And actually know more about this disease. Its still very, very deadly if left untreated. So, we have to educate them actually."
She is also totally aware that Indonesia is a muslim country and muslims are not supposed to have sex 'just like that'. But in some ways, we are living in a different century now, so the education needs to reflect this.
We have to be realistic, HIV/AIDS is already out there and new infections are still happening every day. There is no sense to be closing our eyes to everything that is happening around us. It's so much better better to be open and just be protected!
Kelly says that it's known that a lot of HIV infections are commonly spread by having sex, unprotected. So her message to the young generation out there is: SAFE SEX. Just as simple as what we always tell you guys, Kelly's thoughts go the same way as ours: always play it safe! Keep it safe and let's end HIV/AIDS!
